Wellbeing and Mental Health

Consultiv Utilities is committed to providing a positive and productive working environment for all of our employees and in doing so we are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our employees.

We prioritise the wellbeing of our employees and have implemented comprehensive measures to address issues such as mental health and stress. Our Wellbeing Hub provides a wealth of resources and signposts to help and support. It offers a range of materials, from informative articles on mental health to practical tips for managing stress. Additionally, we have introduced a new ‘Wellbeing wall’ in our office space, promoting positive messages and information around support along with having an open-door policy to support our employees whenever needed.

In collaboration with Vitality Health, we also offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide confidential support and counselling services. These measures demonstrate our commitment to creating a supportive and nurturing work environment where our employees can thrive both personally and professionally.

We utilise the Making Every Contact Count (MECC) approach to behaviour change. This involves the millions of day-to-day interactions that organisations and people have with other people to encourage changes in behaviour that have a positive effect on the health and well-being of individuals, communities and populations.

The team and business are keen to support local and national charities. In 2023, we’ve supported more than 16 charities including Action for Children, British Red Cross, Heel and Toe and Teesside Warrior raising over £40,000.

I’m a recruiter, can we work together?

At Consultiv Utilities, we adhere to our direct recruitment model for all our careers needs. We do not accept speculative CVs or resumes from external agencies. It is important for us to maintain control over our recruitment process and ensure that we are reaching out to the most suitable candidates directly.

In the rare event that we approach an agency, we would refer to our Preferred Supplier List (PSL). This allows us to be consistent in our recruitment practices and maintain efficient communication with our trusted suppliers.

Do you offer homeworking?

We are pleased to offer remote and home working roles to individuals based outside of the North East region of the UK within specific teams where roles are made available. These roles are available exclusively for applicants located within the UK.

We recognise the benefits of remote work and understand that it enables individuals to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still contributing effectively to their roles. As such, we are committed to providing career opportunities for professionals to work remotely from locations within the UK outside of the North East. Any North East role would be required to work from our Head office location unless specified.
