An expert’s guide to the energy crisis: how did we get here and what next?

Helping businesses to understand what’s driven the increase in energy bills, what the short, medium and long-term future will look like and what their next steps should be.

As we reach the end of 2022, Consultiv Utilities’ Corporate Division will be providing an invaluable customer update this Friday 25th November to reflect on a year of unprecedented volatility in the energy market. This online session is designed to help businesses of all sizes and sectors to gain a clearer understanding of what has caused the upheaval in the energy market and, most importantly, what they will need to prepare for in the future.

Consultiv experts will also give an insight into practical next steps for businesses of varying sizes and energy consumption, as well as an opportunity for company representatives to ask questions that will help them navigate the coming months and years.

If you are looking for an honest assessment of what energy bills will look like in 2023 and how the market may evolve, this is the session for you.

This session will be led by Consultiv Utilities’ Director of Global Operations, David Smith and Director of Trading, Serge Mazodila. Serge is a Certified Financial Technician and a member of the Society of Technical Analysts – with a wealth of experience in the energy trade sector, risk management and market intelligence.

What to expect

Market evolution. A forecast for the future. How to future-proof your business.

This session will begin with a recap on where the energy market was historically and how the market has changed dramatically over the course of a year that has been heavily influenced by unforeseen global events such as the war in Ukraine.

With these foundations in place, the Consultiv Utilities team will identify a number of potential future scenarios and appraise how these are likely to influence the energy bills for UK businesses. Most importantly, the team will then offer their advice on how a clear energy strategy based on the latest market intelligence can help organisations mitigate risk and safeguard against any future increases to overheads.

This session will conclude with an opportunity for webinar attendees to ask questions and run through real-life scenarios based on their industries or sectors.
